You Can Fly!
The Waunakee Area Flying Club in Waunakee, Wisconsin makes flying available and affordable. Our non-profit, social Club has a newly acquired four-seat, Cessna 172 Skyhawk for our members exclusive use.
Pilots, rusty pilots and student pilots can fly today with the Waunakee Area Flying Club (WAFC).
Instrument Training
Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) allow a properly equipped aircraft to be flown under instrument meteorological conditions (IMC) by an instrument rated pilot. Instrument training is a natural next step after a pilot becomes licensed to fly.
The Club's Cessna 172 Skyhawk II is IFR Certified.
Flying Friends
The flying friends of the WAFC meet on a regular basis to share in the joy and fun of aviation.
Whether flying together, attending a safety seminar, or reviewing flight training, we enjoy the freedom of flight.

The Waunakee Airport (6P3)
The Waunakee Area Flying Club is thrilled to call the Waunakee Airpark home. Nestled in the heart of the Village of Waunakee, the Airpark has a rich and storied history.
In the mid-1940's the son of a Waunakee farmer, Mr. Jerome Ripp, purchased a small airplane and convinced his father to allow him to mow a small strip of pasture for use as a runway - and the Waunakee Airport was born. Today, more than 70 years later, the Waunakee Airpark is flanked by over 60 homes and 41 aircraft hangars, making it a truly unique airfield to fly.
The Club has a private, heated and secure hangar at 6P3 for Members exclusive use and we host social events on a monthly basis throughout the year, inviting other hangar owners, pilots and 6P3 staff to attend.
If you have ever considered plane ownership, flight training or great year-round flying, you have come to the right place.
Thanks for stopping by, and we hope you make it a great day by taking to the skies with flying friends, like the WAFC.
